2021: My 3 Rules For Making Content

📑

Why is 2021 different? I want to be able to calm down and enjoy what I do while making progress in the same way as 2020.

Act deliberately: Quality over quantity isn't how I want to capture this rule. I don't like the sound of it. Rather, I want to slow my actions while i'm working and take my time to better appreciate the result. Some weeks I'll produce a lot of content and others I may not. I will not let a quantity goal concern me.
Don't look at analytics: A.k.a stop taking everything so seriously. Content creation is a hobby. It's great that I make a little bit of money now, but by no means does that make this endeavour any more or less a hobby. With that being said, I'm aware of general patterns that help my SEO and I will follow them liberally.
Stress-free: There is a surge of productivity cult activity these days on Twitter. I sometimes get sucked into the think-boy/start-up junkie mindset, but I find the hyper-productive lifestyle to be unsustainable and plain stressful. I will do more to maintain a calm regarding my productivity. Being calm ≠ being lazy or cutting corners. As well, being productive ≠ stress. Caring too much about productivity is where stress enters the picture for me.
